PhD Admission information (Next Deadline: 2025-10-17)

KAWAII AI lab @ HKU is always looking for passionate PhD students. Currently, the Main Round 2025-26 is open.

If you are interested in joining our group as a PhD student, please send your

• CV describing your publication history and other achievements,
• Research statement describing your research plan based on literature review, and
• Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) application draft if you wish to receive a scholarship,
• GitHub URL to show your IT/programming experiences,

to our Group Leader, Professor SUZUKI, Atsushi via email at atsushi.suzuki.rd [at] outlook.com. The deadline is 2025-10-17. Note: we will get back to suitable candidates only.

Applicants who wish to receive a scholarship must apply for Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS). Several scholarship schemes exist apart from the HKPFS; however, they are all exclusively for applicants who have applied for, but were not selected for, the HKPFS.
